Jacob S. Guerard
Mr. Guerard entered the legal profession first as a student extern with the Honorable Judge Katrina West of the San Bernardino County Superior Court, then as a law clerk for attorney James E. McGee, and finally as a Summer Certified Law Clerk at the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, before joining Maline & McGee in August 2016.
Born and raised in the Inland Empire, Mr. Guerard grew up in Fontana and graduated from the University of California, Riverside before graduating Cum Laude from the University of La Verne College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Guerard received many awards and scholarships, including the Dean’s Scholarship, and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award (highest grade in class) for courses in Advanced Trial Techniques, Advanced Legal Research, Evidence, and Professional Responsibility. Mr. Guerard also served on the La Verne Law Review, first as a staff editor, then on the editorial board as Chief Technological Editor. Mr. Guerard was later published in the La Verne Law Review for his article on expert testimony in criminal cases.
Mr. Guerard is a member of several organizations such as the Riverside County Bar Association, the San Bernardino County Bar Association, and the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association. Mr. Guerard further gives back to the community by assisting in coaching the Santiago High School mock trial team.
