Born and raised in the Inland Empire, Mr. Guerard grew up in Fontana and graduated from the University of California, Riverside before graduating Cum Laude from the University of La Verne College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Guerard received many awards, scholarships, and served on the La Verne Law Review editorial board as Chief Technological Editor.

Mr. Guerard entered the legal profession as a student clerk with the Honorable Katrina West, Judge of the San Bernardino County Superior Court, advising and drafting opinions on Petitions for Writs of Habeas Corpus. Mr. Guerard has also worked as a Summer Certified Law Clerk at the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, as an Associate at Maline & McGee, LLP since August 2016, and then as an Associate and Lead Research Attorney at the Law Office of James McGee, PLC since its inception in October 2018. As an attorney, Mr. Guerard has invaluable experience representing clients in all manner of cases, including homicide, capital murder, domestic violence, violent felonies, three-strikes cases, gang-related crimes, driving under the influence, civil harassment restraining orders, and post-conviction expungements and appeals.

Mr. Guerard is a member of several professional organizations such as the Riverside County Bar Association, the San Bernardino County Bar Association, and the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. Mr. Guerard further gives back to the community by mentoring and advising students whom are interested in pursuing a legal career, and current law students whom are entering the work force.
